Loading the Patient Images

In the extended mode the Load Images page shows the full interface to in the PMOD database.

The most notable functional addition in the current context is the AUTODETECT button which allows loading images in other formats than DICOM, for instance ECAT, Nifti, Interfile and others.

Alternatively, image loading can also be done with the lateral taskbar:

PALZ_Extended_taskbar

Load image. The format can be selected with the small down arrow below the button.

Close all image series in the PALZ tool, including any image results.

PALZ_Aggregate

Allows aggregating PALZ results for statistical analysis

PALZ_View_results

Allows visualizing the saved results of the discrimination analysis.

PALZ_Agg_Visualization

Obtained with the small down arrow. Allows opening and sending the aggregation results to the R interface for further statistic analysis.

CAUTION: Images loaded in formats other than DICOM must be checked for correct HFS display orientation. Please load an image of this particular format wherein all three orientations can be unambiguously identified. Then, in the orthogonal planes view, the patient coordinates must match the radiological convention as illustrated below.
