There is a multitude of ways how VOIs can be applied to images for calculating statistical measures which are available via the Statistics function button on the VOI panel.
The statistics measures of interests can be configured with the configuration button 
as illustrated below:
The measures of interest are the ones with checked boxes to the left of their name. Simply click into a box for changing the selection.

Remove the selection check of all statistics measures |
The selection is serialized and it is aimed to minimize the statistics calculation time. Please note that at least one statistic measure is required to be configured. The OK button confirms and closes the statistics measures configuration window.
